Steam accumulators ACC series

The purpose of a steam accumulator is to release steam when the demand is greater than the boiler’s ability to supply at that time, and to accept steam when demand is low. The most optimal use of a steam accumulator includes cases when during the production process large amounts of low-pressure steam are consumed for a short period of time (scalding, ironing, humidification in thermal chambers). It is also recommended for use with small water volume steam generators (in particular, electric generators).

A steam accumulator unit consists of the following main elements:

  • a feedtank;
  • mechanical pressure reducing valves or control valves with an electric or pneumatic actuator and positioner;
  • a water level gauge glass;
  • a steam separator;
  • a safety device;
  • stop valves and control instruments.

Depending on the configuration:

  • pressure gauge;
  • a water level gauge;
  • a control panel.
