Lindau, 10 September 2015 – The construction work on the new administration and production buildings for cooling specialist Cofely Refrigeration at the former Bahlsen works in Lindau is very much on schedule. The roofing ceremony is due to take place in the autumn. Cofely Refrigeration’s move to the new location is scheduled for the first half of 2016.

The building site at the former Bahlsen works is a hive of activity. While the walls of the four-storey administration building are currently being erected, workers in the production plant are busy putting the glazing on the roof. Project manager Martin Heinzel from i+R Industrie- und Gewerbebau is very familiar with this level of activity: “We’re used to coordinating big building sites. For the success of a building project it is important to have a good working partnership with our tradespeople and subcontractors.” The unchanging dry weather has also contributed to the optimum progress of the building work, the experienced project manager adds.

At the end of September, the floor plate will be installed in the production building. “Then the electricians, installers and drywall builders can get to work,” Martin Heinzel explains. “The walls of the administration building were prefabricated by i+R Holzbau at their plant in Lauterach. So we’re not dependent on the weather. Now the wall elements are being mounted on the completed building frame,” Martin Heinzel tells us. If the weather is favourable, the outdoor area can be completed in the autumn.
